Los Angeles, Hollywood and beaches tour

We spent our last day in California on a tour bus - our feet were grateful for the break.

The tour took us through Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills (including Rodeo Drive) and then down to the water - Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach.

Olvera St - where LA's original Mexican settlement started

LA's vertical train ("funicular") - it's basically a train that goes up a staircase

Walt Disney Concert Hall

Hollywood Boulevard - Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, a Walt Disney cinema that shows nothing but Disney movies all year round. No chance to take a picture of the famous sign up on the hillside, though - the haze was too thick and we could barely see it.

Yesterday we got up early and spent the day traveling to where some of my family live in Columbus, Ohio.
